The defining feature of the iShear C Series is its CNC-controlled variable rake system. Rather than operating with a fixed cutting angle, the machine automatically calculates the appropriate rake angle for the selected material and thickness. Blade gap, stroke length and back gauge position are also adjusted through the control system, reducing manual setup between jobs.
Hydraulic Cutting System
The C Series uses a vertical cutting action with a hydraulic drive system designed to minimise deflection throughout the cutting stroke. The machine incorporates Rexroth or Hoerbiger hydraulic components together with a rigid welded frame and precision-machined construction to maintain cutting accuracy across its full working capacity.
CNC Control
Each machine is supplied with an ELGO P40T touchscreen control as standard. The system manages automatic blade gap adjustment, variable rake angle, stroke length and the 1,000 mm motorised back gauge. Cybelec and ESA CNC controls are also available where required.
Machine Range
The iShear C Series is available with cutting lengths of 3,100 mm, 4,000 mm and 6,100 mm, with capacities from 6 mm to 25 mm mild steel, depending on the model selected. Automatic adjustment of the cutting parameters makes the machine particularly well suited to manufacturers regularly changing between different material grades and thicknesses.
Optional Equipment
Optional equipment includes pneumatic sheet support systems, angular gauges, longer front support arms, increased throat depth, oil cooling and heating, automatic lubrication, laser guarding, CNC-controlled front sheet feeders and rear safety light barriers. Machine specification can be tailored to suit individual production requirements.
