Model dependent; typical widths up to 3050–4100 mm and thickness from 6–12 mm and higher. Tell us your grade, thickness and sheet size and we’ll confirm a match.

What is the difference between swing beam and variable rake hydraulic guillotines?

Swing beam is robust and fast for general work; variable rake lets you optimise rake angle for thickness and grade, improving edge quality and reducing twist.

Do you stock mechanical guillotines as well as hydraulic?

Yes — we regularly hold both mechanical and hydraulic models. We’ll confirm availability and capacities for current stock.

Can these machines cut stainless steel and aluminium?

Yes within the rated capacity. We’ll advise limits, blade spec and settings for your materials.

What backgauge and control options are included?

Many machines include programmable backgauges with DRO or NC, stroke and clearance settings. We’ll detail travel, speed and control type per machine.

How is cutting squareness and blade gap set?

Blade gap is adjustable; squareness is set via backgauge and guides. We can demonstrate test cuts before purchase.

Do you provide installation, commissioning and operator training?

Yes — carried out by JPS Machinery Ltd’s in-house service team.

Is there a warranty on used guillotines?

Yes — 30-day parts and labour warranty on used stock plus ongoing telephone and on-site technical support.

Can you supply new blades and sharpening?

Yes — new blades, sharpening and common wear parts are available.

What power, footprint and access do I need?

Typically three-phase supply and a clear lifting path. We’ll confirm kW, dimensions, floor loading and access requirements for any machine.

Used Guillotines

Used hydraulic and mechanical metal cutting used guillotines, are generally taken in part exchange against our supply of a new guillotine, they are 1st cleaned, then inspected, fully serviced, back gauge calibrated, material cutting tests done to check quality of cut, if required the guillotine blades will either be turned to a good cutting edge, or be re-ground.

Commissioned, controller & ‘machine functionality’ operator training

Only Re-painted in customers colours, on request, extra cost
