Mechanical Guillotine Construction

The iShear A is built around a rigid welded monoblock frame designed to minimise deflection during cutting. The machine body and upper beam are precision machined to maintain cutting accuracy, while high carbon, high chrome blades provide multiple cutting edges to maximise blade life. A mechanical sheet hold-down system secures the material throughout the cutting cycle to help produce clean, consistent cuts.

Machine Configuration

The range includes models with cutting lengths from 1,100 mm to 3,700 mm and cutting capacities up to 6 mm, allowing the machine to be specified for different production requirements. Standard equipment includes a motorised 750 mm back gauge, with optional upgrades including a 1,000 mm back gauge, pneumatic rear sheet support systems, angular gauge and longer front support arms.

CNC Control

Each machine is supplied with the ELGO P40T touchscreen control. The system provides programmable back gauge positioning, program storage, material selection and multi-language support, giving operators straightforward control over routine production work.

Operator Features

To simplify day-to-day operation, the iShear A is fitted with front support arms with measuring scales, a roller bearing table, illuminated cutting line and foot pedal control. Manual blade gap adjustment allows the machine to be set quickly for different material thicknesses while maintaining cutting accuracy.
