The HSG R2 is a double-chuck universal tube fibre laser cutting machine designed for mid-range tube and structural section processing. With capacity up to Ø240mm, single tube weight up to 300kg and laser power options up to 6kW, the R2 offers stable clamping and reliable productivity for fabrication environments.
The HSG R2 is engineered for versatile tube and profile processing using a double-chuck clamping configuration.
It provides stable material control, balanced load handling and repeatable cutting accuracy across a broad range of tube diameters.
The R2 utilises rectangular-circle pneumatic chucks designed to accommodate round, square and common structural profiles.
The configuration supports stable clamping across a wide capacity range while maintaining load control up to 300kg.
Three pneumatic concave wheel supports are supplied as standard to stabilise material during rotation cutting.
Optional servo follow-up support can be specified where higher precision is required.
With no-load speeds up to 120 m/min, chuck rotation up to 100 r/min and acceleration up to 1.0G, the R2 balances speed and stability for mid-range fabrication output.
The bus-based HSG-X control system integrates motion control and nesting software within a simplified operating interface, supporting efficient production management.
An optional 3m blanking rack can be added to improve support and unloading stability when processing longer tube lengths.
